Arbor Day is Friday, April 24th, 2015!
Arbor Day is celebrated around the world as a celebration for planting and caring for trees, as well as educating the public about the importance of trees. The first Arbor Day was held in Villanueva de la Sierra Spain in 1805, and was introduced to the United States in Nebraska in 1872. In the United States, Arbor Day will always be observed on the last Friday of April, whereas in other countries it will be held at different times but usually coincides with growing seasons. A custom shared by many schools, scouting and conservation groups is to plant a tree in observation of the holiday. Many of us remember being young children and planting a tree outside of our school with a science class, or in front of the municipal building with a scouting group in honor of Arbor Day!
In that spirit, B & M Tree Service LLC will plant a tree for free, on the property of customers who schedule one of our many tree services by Saturday April 25th of at least $1,000.00, and mention this blog!
